We are happy to report that last week Urban Fabrick’s NYC office head Wolfgang Werner received the Urban Green’s Council 2015 service award. Urban Green bestows this honor each year to members of the city’s green building community who have distinguished themselves serving the cause in some significant voluntary capacity. This year six members of Urban Green’s Monthly Programs Committee who served on it since its inception in 2010 were honored for their longevity and the successful programs they have organized over the years.
The Monthly Programs Committee is a 20+ strong group of green building leaders from a broad spectrum of New York City’s building design and construction community that is charged with conceptualizing and organizing Urban Green’s public programs such as roundtable discussions, case study presentations, presentations on policy, practice and technology, and green building tours. The most recent event Wolfgang had helped organize was a fascinating discussion on biophilia with speakers from Terrapin Bright Green, Ole Sondresen Architect and Clif Bar, exploring ways to integrate biophilic design concepts into formerly industrial spaces and new developments.
Wolfgang has been an active member of New York’s green building community for many years. We are thrilled that his years of service have been recognized!
