Urban Fabrick, Inc. Names Wolfgang Werner as New President & CEO

On January 28, Bill Worthen, Co-Founder of Urban Fabrick, Inc., the Urban Fabrick Collaborative, and Good Design, and a long-time leader in the California and national building sustainability community, suddenly passed awayIn the aftermath of this unfathomable loss, the Urban Fabrick team is united in its resolve to carry on Bill’s legacy by continuing our efforts to move the built environment toward a more sustainable and climate positive future.

Today, Urban Fabrick, Inc., the sustainability and communications consultancy, named Wolfgang Werner, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, USGBC Faculty, CPHC, as the firm’s new President and CEO. An architect with more than 20 years of industry experience and the head of Urban Fabrick’s New York City office, Wolfgang will oversee the firm’s staff and resources to ensure continuity of service for clients and projects, and set the firm’s strategic direction with COO Kyle Pickett. Wolfgang is looking forward to working with Urban Fabrick’s existing and future clients and collaborators.

Wolfgang Werner, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, CHPC, USGBC Faculty, is the President and CEO of Urban Fabrick and heads up the firm’s New York City office. Wolfgang has more than 20 years of experience in building sustainability, architectural design, construction administration, and building investigation, including general building sustainability concepts, strategies, and technologies, building codes, policy, standards, regulations, and life cycle assessment. Wolfgang is an active part of New York City’s green building community and currently serves on the NYC 2030 District Committee and on the Board of the Carbon Leadership Forum. He holds a Dipl.-Ing. degree in architecture from the Technische Universität, Berlin, Germany and a master’s degree in architecture from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, New York.
