Urban Fabrick Hires Colleen FitzSimons as Project Manager

Colleen FitzSimonsUrban Fabrick, Inc., a sustainability consulting and communications company, is pleased to announce that Colleen FitzSimons, PMP, LEED AP BD+C, BPI BA, GPR has joined the team as Project Manager in our San Francisco office.

Previously, Colleen was Program Manager for California’s pioneering green home certification system GreenPoint Rated, which certified over 9,000 homes and was responsible for a 30,000 ton reduction in greenhouse gas emissions under her leadership. She has more than 12 years of project management experience with a variety of tenant improvement and technology infrastructure projects including a 20,000 sq ft LEED Gold office space in New York City. Clear communications with team members from all areas of business, construction and technology and the ability to help ‘translate’ technical details to non-technical stakeholders have proven invaluable in Colleen’s successful project management history.

Colleen also brings her clear understanding of building science and sustainability principles to her work at Urban Fabrick. Colleen will be providing sustainability consulting on CALGreen, GreenPoint Rated and LEED projects for Urban Fabrick including the Ocean Education and Leadership Center for Monterrey Bay Aquarium.

Colleen has a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo.
