Urban Fabrick, Inc., a sustainability consulting and communications company, is pleased to announce that Allan Robles has joined the team as Sustainability Associate in our San Francisco office. Allan comes to Urban Fabrick with 6 years of sustainability business development experience in the higher education, local and city government, non-profit, and private sectors. He possesses in-depth knowledge of a wide range of tools and solutions available to achieve sustainability and climate change adaptation goals, from energy efficiency to effective occupant engagement.
As a UFK Sustainability Associate, Allan will be using his financial analysis background to lend assistance on feasibility studies for innovative and progressive UFK sustainability projects. Present work includes on-site water reuse projects and real-time energy management systems with clients such as Salesforce and new multi-family development complexes, including 1398 22nd St.
Allan will also be overseeing all upcoming Urban Fabrick projects that are seeking USGBC’s LEED v4, O+M certification, tapping into the greatest potential for reducing greenhouse gas emissions: existing buildings. For projects that include human health and wellness as part of their sustainability strategy, he will also be the in-house expert on the IWBI’s WELL rating system. The brand new rating system challenges institutions to consider the human health impact and productivity of its occupants, while keeping sustainability in mind.
Allan possesses a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts from Eugene Lang College: The New School for Liberal Arts as well as a Master of Environmental Science and Management from the University of California, Santa Barbara. In his spare time, Allan enjoys running and yoga and has a penchant for various arts and crafts projects, including headdresses.
