Urban Fabrick moves to Industry City

Urban Fabrick moves to Industry City

Exciting news for Urban Fabrick’s New York office – we have moved! We had outgrown our previous home in a co-working space in Dumbo, and acting on a recommendation from one of our architect friends, we found the perfect spot in Industry City.

A major player in Brooklyn’s marine/industrial past, Industry City’s buildings were built as the Bush Terminal in the early part of the 20th century to form an intermodal shipping, warehousing and manufacturing complex along the Sunset Park waterfront in Brooklyn, facing the Upper New York Bay with views of the Statue of Liberty, New Jersey and Staten Island.

With Brooklyn’s industrial waterfront heyday long in the past, the complex has been rechristened as Industry City and is gradually being repurposed for the 21st Century economy as a hub for innovation, providing a home for a varied mix of tenants as well and a support infrastructure including a food court, restaurants, event spaces, an on-site gym, and a stream of cultural events year round.

We’re thrilled to join this exciting community of creative makers, designers, artists, manufacturers and food producers. Within our own beautiful, light-filled office on the 6th floor we’ll be sharing our space with our friends from the passive house consulting firm bldgtyp and still have room for future growth.

We’re looking forward to seeing you at Industry City!
